The USA Track & Field announced earlier this month that .US is the title sponsor of the .US National Road Racing Championships, which will be held Nov. 17 in Alexandria, Virginia.
We’re thrilled to be part of the .US National Road Racing Championships, taking place in our own backyard in Northern Virginia. The 12-kilometer course has runners winding through scenic Alexandria and historic Old Town, featuring the beauty of one of the country’s first downtowns. Starting and finishing on the banks of the Potomac in Oronoco Bay Park, the course includes historic King Street, views of the Masonic Temple, the bustling neighborhood of Del Ray and some of Alexandria’s most historic buildings.
As the designated country code and top-level domain for the United States, .US represents Main Street America, helping American small businesses and individuals who aspire to be great get online. With a .US website, running enthusiasts — from professional to lifestyle runners — can build their online presence and share their passion for the sport. The tradition of the USA Track and Field, a group that represents both country pride and excellence, makes them a perfect partner for .US.
Through this partnership, we envision all national enthusiasts, such as USATF members, running clubs, elite athletes and the running community as a whole, having their own .US website. Runners could track and share their training routes, routines, race times, upcoming races, network and more with .US — America’s top-level domain.
