.US Selects U.S.-Owned and Operated Nanotech Company

This week, .US has selected Nanosphere as the “Site of the Week.” A great example of American-based scientific innovation at its core, Nanosphere is a molecular diagnostic platform that helps hospitals around the country to decrease turn-around time for disease-diagnosing tests.
Resulting from nanotechnology discoveries at Northwestern University, Nanosphere was founded in 2000 by Dr. Robert Letsinger and Dr. Chad Mirkin. Over the last 20+ years, the company has now expanded to serving more than 4,000 hospitals across the U.S. and EU, ranging in areas including infectious diseases, personalized medicine, cardiology and human genetics.
